Our goal is teach the greater Savannah community about harm reduction awareness and give community support to help reduce the rates of opiate overdose deaths.

About No More O.D.s

Founder Lesli Messinger lost her son Austin (pictured above) to an accidental OxyContin overdose on September 16th, 2005 when he was only 24 years old. She made it her mission to support mothers and loved ones of those lost to opiate overdoses, and formed No More O.D.s to fight the growing opiate crisis in Georgia.

Since its founding, Lesli has helped pass the Amnesty Law in 2014 that protects those seeking medical help from arrest during emergency situations, trained thousands of police officers and firefighters on the administration of Narcan/naloxone, and continues to support the community with outreach events. NMO is currently partnered with Civvies on Broughton in downtown Savannah, and they provide free Narcan and other harm reduction supplies.
